Since then, its been sitting safely within its box. The box shows some wear and tear, but its from general weathering over time. The inside of the box and its contents is in great condition. The glass unit has been tested for hours to ensure it works as intended. This particular model has also been updated to the latest firmware (XE24) to ensure it works independently of Google Services (which discontinued service on this model of the Glass in 2020).
